This bug is also in 3F46, though there's no benefit to exploiting it. Not that I've found, anyway.

Oh wow, I was TRICKED by the arrow! Curses -- I should have known better! Looking forward to testing out the level in 0.9, and older versions. Wow, great finds. And here I was lamenting that the list of things to do on TES was getting too short ;) I was able to reproduce and track down that stars issue.
