Re: Seen mode

I wrote a blog post about this which might make it clearer: http://testtubegames.com/blog/testtube-lesson-seen-distances/ The quick version is we can imagine the eye as a pinhole camera, and think about the photons coming in through the pinhole and striking the film/retina. By tracing out the rays, ...

Re: Terrell Rotation

4. The game starts off in a 'measured' view, which leaves out the Terrell Rotation at the beginning. This keeps it a bit simpler, and also matches with how relativity is often discussed (length contraction, etc). This ignores the travel time for light to reach your eye. At level 25, I add the travel...

Re: Reset to initial conditions

I'm wondering if the "Quick Save" and "Quick Load" feature would be what you're looking for. You'll find those buttons in the upper left of the screen. Basically, they work like the old memory button on scientific calculators. Hit quick save to store whatever the current state is. Then hit quick loa...

Re: Hidden forum?

Hmm, odd, that's not what happens when I click the link. (cue the rim shot) Annnnyway, that forum is actually one I used with the Bond Breaker team a while back. Posting updates and new builds, getting feedback, etc. Was the easiest way I could think of do just set up a private repo the team could l...

Re: HTML5 Versions

Re: game loads but does not run

Thanks for getting in touch about this - sorry to hear you’ve run into problems. A couple questions I’ve got for you. First - is the game still in your downloads folder? If so, move it somewhere else, such as your desktop or applications folder. There’s a security setting with Macs that can get in t...
