Re: Quarks
Anyway, I personally think a game based around quarks would best fit outside of higgs. The goal of getting to a certain spot isn't nearly as interesting when you have on your hands the possibility for complicated things such as making nuclei! I do see a problem though. Would this bypass things such...

Re: Easter egg?
Hrm, fair enough. I'm traveling (and away from my computer for the week), but when I get back I'll make that easy fix. There's no reason to keep people from pushing the boundaries. (And I like how your suggestion still prevents newbies from getting lost in a larger range)

Re: Imaginary Color Charge
That's a really neat question. It seems strange at first to see 'imaginary' charges, and I'll be the first to say I'm not an entire expert on the intricacies of gluons. It seems to me, though, that this is more or less mathematical bookkeeping. Without getting in to too much detail.... You see the s...

Re: 19683 Creations (I-Phone Only)
Neat idea - putting these up. I'd love to get a better code system in place... Which should come with the quark update... But until then this works.
I'm gonna load some of these up and give 'em a try,

Neat!
As for doing it in a more complex way -- good luck! Chaos is a cruel mistress. Though, if anyone can fine tune some co-orbiting planets, I'm sure it's you...

Re: Centrifugal Game
Thank you all for such great feedback on this project! Many of the ideas you've floated are easy and clear add-ons for the game: radar, orbit lines, changing to an inertial frame (at least temporarily, or perhaps as an instant-replay view). I also like the idea of making the thrusters weaker - I'll ...

Re: Quarks
Not for another month, for sure. I'm afraid that's about as specific as I can be at the moment. (I'm basing that on a fair amount of travel this summer... Plus the time to get Shocktopus ready). The plan with the gluons was to make them like the photons. They don't exist as tiles...but rather as a f...

Re: Sharing User-Created Levels for App
There isn't a great way to share those levels *yet*. I'd like to improve the app's level editor, which always was in beta mode (hence the still-missing Higgs field). Sounds like a good thing to fix when quarks get released.

Centrifugal Game
Here's a quick prototype of a game for you folks to check out. It's based off a couple inspirations -- the first being one of my favorite XKCD comics . Another being a statement by a rocket scientist friend of mine about moving (and docking) while in orbit. Counterintuitively, to get your ship to an...
