Re: My game on Bond Breaker

Oooh - that's a nice level! A great little puzzle! Thanks for sharing --- Seems there's a bug in the game with creating the level links (thanks for bringing it to my attention!) You can play this level here: https://testtubegames.com/bondbreaker3.html?lvl=0v2g3c313p0w2d313k33383d31333b353i1q2k38350w...

Re: Is there a way to make each particle lose kinetic energy once it bumps into another particle?

In the full version there is a way to *kind of* do what you're talking about. There's a third collision setting - 'bounce' - and you can even change the coefficient of restitution (how bouncy) in the planets menu. It's not going to persist indefinitely, especially if you have a lot of them pushing t...

Re: V3.0.1 not working on a Win 10 machine

Alright, I *think* what is happening in both of the above cases is a permissions error with writing files onto the disk. (That's how the simulator saves all the creations you made, in a file tree). Often caused by being in the downloads folder, but apparently it can have other causes too, as you've ...

Re: V3.0.1 not working on a Win 10 machine

Yikes, let me take a look! edit: Alright, this is a new bug for windows - but there is possibly an easy solution for mac. If you don't move the program out of the 'downloads' folder, you'll get a problem just like this. (It has to do with security settings on macs). It *may* be similar now on Window...

Re: Documentation? (e.g. for Object Menu)

Oh yes, it *is* 2d. As you say, that seems like a basic bit of info to share -- so I went ahead and added a new intro page of the docs. (https://testtubegames.com/gsim101/?p=intro) Thanks for sharing that question. And (peeks at Seveneves link) uh, good luck with that! ponders how fragmentation migh...

Re: First Person View?

Ah, good question. The view that's drawn is all from the perspective of the raptor. To put that more precisely, each point that's drawn is placed at the angle and the distance the raptor would measure/see it from (depending on the view setting). It's like if you had to make a 2d blueprint of your ro...

Re: Documentation? (e.g. for Object Menu)

Sorry to hear you're running into problems! *Yes* we need some documentation. As you note, all the information is scattered around, and needs to be brought together. More on that in a moment. To your specific point - there's a maximum number of 'object type' buttons you can have in the upper right c...

Re: how u make many higgs in levls?

You can make extra higgses by editing the level code you get in the editor. "h" is the symbol for higgs, and if you figure out the structure of it all, you can add in more than one higgs. (different letters represent different tile types, and the numbers represent how many blank spaces the...
