Re: Corn Maze
Yup, that sounds about right. Turn left overall wins in a simple, loop-less maze. But it can really trap you in a rut when there are loops. FtK helps you out regardless of loops. As a bit of background, this simulation was a test of my idea for FtK. I was going around a huge (and well attended) corn...

Re: Raptor clock bug
Whoa, nice catch. I'm surprised I didn't notice that... and equally surprised that someone did! Thanks for pointing that out -- It'll be a very easy fix.

Re: Stupid jerk.
Why, you're very welcome! It's been so neat to see all the creations brewing in the forum (from 19683's Agent Higgs levels, to ARP's gravity musings, to your rad Shockto-level)... how could I *not* post about this?

Re: Fun with Large Elipses
Yikes! I fear the 'speed up' button I'm adding to the update will be powerless against you! (As the creator of the sim, I'm determined to see this ellipse through, though! Just you wait. ...and wait...) Edit: I just remembered, the sim only runs when it is the browser tab in focus. Oh dear. New edit...

Re: Modeling "Dynamical Relaxation"
Interesting. I've heard of things getting thrown out of galaxies, but never of this phenomenon by name. In the simulation you ran, I have to agree, it does seem to be happening. You end up with a tightly bound, whirling ball of the leftover planets. In the update, I'm planning on not only having the...

Ha, that's great! I love how his face gets all burned, despite the fact he's really far away.19683 wrote:Burnt Out: [Burnt Out:0:zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzmzzzzzzzezzzzzzzahzzzzzzzzzzzzzz7h]
Perfect: NOT 3
And while not a vast improvement, I did manage to get Oscillator in 27 moves.

Re: 19683 creations MEGATHREAD
These are great! With every one of them, you gave me a nice "crap, how am I gonna do this one" moment. Here's some updates for "bests": Antineutrino -- Best score: 33 Annihilator -- Best scores: 10 Traffic Jam -- Best scores: 37 (I'm with you on that one... seems hard to beat) Cr...

Re: ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yeah, I was very confused the first time I saw that. Turns out it is just a bit o' trickery in the level code. In the long string of letters, h's (unsurprisingly) stand for "Higgs". There are two of them in this level. However, the game is only set up to draw one Higgs -- so the second one...
