Oh wait, I "must have typed it wrong." The REAL equation is
x ^ floor( (x-7)! / (x-1) ) = x * sin( pi*x ) - x^2 * cos( pi*x ) + 1

Re: Math Puzzles

The way I create mean equations is this: 1) Choose a simple integer, like, for example, -5. 2) Do some operations on that number, like (-5)^2-(-5)/3 3) Add in some parts that make the calculations easier for you and the solving harder for nobody because you're the only person who'll ever appreciate ...

Re: Happy Birthday!

I noticed it said below where it usually says the members who are currently on the forum and stuff that it said it was someone's birthday. I thought it was cool that the forum had that feature and wondered if I should say anything, but I start too many topics as it is, so now that you've posted, I g...

Math Puzzles

Here are some math puzzles I made! They are, in my opinion, interesting yet difficult. 1) There are n lights in a room. They all start on. Each minute, a light is picked at random, and if it is on, it is turned off, and if it is off, it is turned on. This process continues until the whole room is da...

Re: Super duper recursive function

Oh, sorry about not explaining further. I expected that you'd all be confused, but I just wanted to see if it sparked some interest and I didn't want to rewrite my post again (like I said). Now that a further explanation would be for good use, I'll explain it more. ARP, you were on the right track. ...

Super duper recursive function

Okay, so safari crashed on me, so my well-written post on this super cool function I made was just destroyed, so I won't go into as much depth as I would if MY POSTS DIDN'T ALWAYS DISAPPEAR!!!! :x Sorry, just had to rant a little. Anyways, my function is basically defined as the :H (f(x),n) where yo...

Re: The Fittest

Apparently, evolution isn't always good... I was watching the evolution after it had progressed a few hundred times, and there was pretty much no change. In fact, most of the time it was losing to the centipede. Then, suddenly, all six creatures got way worse, scoring -40 at most. In fact, both the ...

At first, it was just the one that the centipede pushed out the furthest, but by generation 10 or ...

Re: The Fittest

Here's some of my own pit raised creatures: 050175600226004151935050100031018133940207142530107262947427280845606102038224110930 As you can see, they still haven't gotten through the first pit, but I found it funny how they looked like they were trying to grab for the ledge there. Edit: Andy, you ha...
