I present my seventh and eighth levels...C05D and 0D11. They share a common ancestor, but they're pretty different. As always, they have been tested and proven possible.

This isn't a level per se... It has to do with some recent TTG-related events but it's probably easier than Letter Writer. (Though I did think Letter Writer was easy...) However, it does have 3 stars and an exit, so you could beat it.
Actually, it would probably be pointless to play this for FBF, since it has no electromagnetism at all. It's just a cool mechanism. (Mechanism Monday anyone? Or just show it along with another related level.)

So I finally managed to finish 0D11. I would like to give it the nickname... (also strategy spoilers)
SPOILER

Kerbal 101 Pop quiz!

No, seriously. I totally forgot about the Oberth effect when doing the first part. I always jumped, then waited until it was almost too late to charge myself back down. But the change in energy due to a constant force is proportional to velocity...
So I just needed to tap jump and charge for a frame or two, and I'd jump at a perfect height.

Also: if you don't have any RCS, don't expect to accelerate downwards faster than gravity. (aka I died a bunch of times on the top row of spikes)
In the end I had
SPOILER
SPOILER_SHOW
220 deaths in this run, but with all 3 stars. This number is probably only half the actual amount, since I'd played the level many times before and not consistently gotten past the beginning. I'd say there were at least 300-350 total deaths.

Also I was totally about to win at around 170 deaths, but flew right into the spike next to the exit ledge.
(1 month necro?)

Wow, the forums have been pretty dead lately. Versions 0.7 and 0.8 of TES didn't get any reaction whatsoever. (Wasn't that a little discouraging, Andy?) Anyway, when 0.9 came out, I decided to download it and play around. And as often happens, my playground turned into a complete level- my ninth this time. Here's F1B3.

Wait, that came out wrong.

You have no idea how long I've been waiting to use that line.
One day I realized that with 7 switches, we have enough switches to make a 7-segment display.

This took quite some time to test and make sure it worked. Additionally, setting up the mechanism took some thought. Initially the mechanism took up most of the level, but I compressed it down to the current iteration.

This level is basically a cross between Letter Writer and The Ocean.

Note: As of the current version (0.9), this happens. Though it is possible to skip most of the level like this, it is not the intended solution, as I assumed the effect is a bug. If it is not, this version of the level fixes it:

Oh, and when testing this level I was able to complete it with all 3 stars. Not like NaQRC or Through the Path. So I can say it is possible, and isn't ridiculously hard.

Edit: There seems to be a bit of lag every time the switches are hit. Perhaps this is the particle effects?

It has been a bit quiet - though with launching the GL campaign, and working on Bond Breaker/Shocktopus/GSim-Image-of-the-Day... I've been keeping myself pretty busy. So thankfully I was too distracted to be discouraged.

And out of that silence, then WHAM - I'm hit by these two really neat looking levels. And a whole bunch of helpful feedback on 0.9. Worth the wait, I'd say. I took a peek at the levels, and I can't wait to give both of them a try!

I really should be in bed now...but I got caught up in level 10. That spiked-tube-of-conductors experiment was a mistake.
Edit: I realized that one part of the level was too hard. As Andy likes to say, there are hard parts that you can get better at, and hard parts that are more luck than skill or require timing too precise for a human to pull off reliably. This part was type 2, but redesigning it to be type 1 was a challenge. I finally did it, though, and updated the code below.

Note to Andy (minor spoiler):
