Version 0.7

Post by testtubegames »

Whew! After the electric fields debacle of yester-build, things should be back in order now. And along the way, I've learned waaaaay more than I expected about calculating E Fields. I also added a few new features to spice things up a bit.

The Electric Shocktopus v 0.7
(Grab it on Humble)

Changes:
-Basically, see the whole struckout list from the previous version.
-The game runs *significantly* faster, with fewer hiccups or lag-iness.
-The Electric fields are calculated better / faster / stronger.
-You can use a volt meter or an electric field meter to measure the fields (woo!)
-There is a 'move' tool in the editor
-You can rearrange player-made levels in the menu
-The lessons in the game are updated / animated
-Menus fade from the screen to get out of your way.
-Some levels in the game are rearranged towards the beginning, to get players into the science faster.
-Flashing tiles don't auto-kill you now if you're in their spot.
-I think that's it...
-...
-Oh wait, you can add fading tiles / stars / boom blocks / crates to switches now! (Or make them flash)

I don't know the chaos that I'm unleashing with that last one. But there you go.

Known Bugs/Suggestions:
?-Sporadic non-saving of level progress
-Locked level buttons don't hide thumbnail (testing-fail on my part)
-Auto-update indicator needs fixin'

Last Edit: 11/2
