Yeah, the level's hard, but the stars are even harder. I like it, but it's just pretty frustrating for some reason.

Unfortunately, you're right I think. Stars are hard to get but their placement can be annoying.


I'm happy that magnetism works well (pesimist would say: "or it seems so" :lol:) so I made a simple level. Enjoy the "WTM* is happening?!" feeling.

I like it, though, in the future, please avoid making levels that cause so much lag (you seem to have a knack for it). At first, I thought it was a bad level with all the lag and changing forces and all, but then I realized the magnetic field was what was pulling me down and not the electric forces, then I was able to pass it w/ three stars. Well done.

To be fair, that's really my fault. It was certainly a cpu-intensive level... but the game *should* be able to handle these types of levels smoother. Looks like it's time for some optimization!

That was a fun level, Misha -- a nice and complex use of flashing tiles and switches.

exfret, Tesla's ditch looks like fun -- I'll give it a try tomorrow (Tonight, it's time for bed.)

Congratulations, exfret. Despite being the creator of this level, I had a "WTM" feeling a few times before I even realised that it makes sense. :H

I passed "Tesla's ditch" but... I'm still wondering what are ↓ and ← switches for. Symmetry, perhaps? I also didn't use the magnetic field on the bottom but I guess it was to be a trap? To tell you the truth, I'm quite curious about many parts of this level. Could you explain them, please?

I played through Tesla's Ditch, too, this evening. Another challenging one. As near as I could tell, it was missing a star. (Though, knowing you, I searched for every secret star location I could think of!) I agree with you, Misha, it had quite a few red-herring pieces. Like that yellow switch, which didn't seem to do anything helpful. That's part of the puzzle of it all, of course. The player has to figure out what you need.

There appears to be a strange glitch where ~TES~ appears in the top left corner if he is placed in front of a closed door in a level, just place him there for now. I'm glad that this wasn't due to my clumsiness... Also, about the stars, the deal w/ them is that if you complete the level all the way through starting at the beginning, you get 2 stars. You can start at the first star, but then you'll only get 1 star, and you can start at the 2nd star, which is where you've all been starting due to the glitch, but you get 0 stars for passing the level. What about the third star? Um... Well, how about... *Goes wandering off in deep, dangerous, evil thought*... Complete the whole level with a hand tied behind your back and without existing where the sand-blocks once were! :twisted: Okay, fine, you only have to tie half a hand behind your back, but no existing in those sandy places!

150 Shocktopuses later.... *opens level editor, removes spikes under starting position*.... I WIN!

...anyway, wow, that's a toughie. I made it to the 'zero' field button before having to call it quits (for now). Interestingly enough, the level did remind me that buttons (oddly) work from all side. I had a fix in place, but guess I removed it at some point and never noticed (since none of the buttons in the main game can be touched from the bottom). Fear not -- I won't change it! Though I might think of a way to make it look a little less strange...
