Of course, that is obviously wrong. He should have said, "By late next month," or something like that. First of all, next year is 2014, so he contradicts himself by saying that it is going to be 2014 then that it is going to be 2379, second of all, you can't have dozens of years pass by 'next year', because only one year can ever possibly pass by 'next year'. Third of all, he didn't specify his frame of reference.
